Quote from rockclan :Dear LFS Users,

Please take a serious moment, for a very serious moment.

There is now a host online, which steals your S2 license, it gets hacked, and directly goes online.

The name of this host is:
ULTIMATE Tweak-Server™

3 of my teammates their accounts got hacked thanks to this.

Edit:
The accounts are not online now anymore, but please be sure that you never join this server.

And if you do directly change your password afterwards.

Edit:

The tweak mod which was used for this hacking is made by Chudy_2001

Let me guess:
You all lost connection....
When trying to join a server, you got "user allready online" or something....

This has happend to me, when a server crash... lfsworld is "a bit behind", and does not react to you losing connection(yeah, lfs think you are online)

Easy to fix, restart lfs, problem solved :P

If I'm wrong, go easy on the flaming, I'm just trying to come with an explonation to what probably happend :P

Separate reflections on windows and cars
=Wolf=[NO]

If there is used separate reflections, we can use a mate/low reflection type on the car, and a harder/mirroring reflection on the windows.

IRL the glass surfaces is usualy more shiny than the paint itself(other than overpolished show-cars)

I think it would be easy to implent, and would do alot with the visual feal of realism

I did not see any other thread about this, so feel free to link if allready sugested...

Quote from TehPaws3D :Question; Why is it in demo servers everyone drifts with a Knobbly / Hybrid on the back, And either knobbly / Normal in the front, if they provide Less
Grip, I know you don't need to have wonder-glue grip but If It provides less grip, How do the drifters control speed well anymore? Doesn't a hotter tire lock up faster? (I guess I answered my own question In they lock up when they drift, But a longer more detailed answer would be nice.
)

Well, the rally tires is easyer to heat up fast, in a underpowered car(XRG).
Hot tires = less grip
Less grip = easyer to control slide with throttle control
With little grip, and low power, you will not be able to heat them to the point of flattening(about 200 degrees I think).

I personaly, drift with normal tires, using high camber to make the rear loose, and heating the tip of the tires rather fast when using XRG.

Quote from Forbin :If you're cruising, you have no need for an advanced simulation. Accurate grip levels and grip transitions mean nothing to you.

Based on what?

Running from cops is kinda racing, but with oncoming traffic :P

Thank you for the update Scawen

Quote from manneF1 :yup, I agree the post above, tyre physics wont do anything that special, there will be just the same cars, diffrent to drive still. LFS needs more cars, I would go that over realism

Go buy a playstation or a x-box, the point with a SIMULATOR is accualy REALISTIC handeling not a ton of cars you never drive

I belive they use half of center mirror, but not good enough imo.

I don't know

The Nick don't realy count for much, the rep as driver does(same as racing I guess)

Just pick a nick that sticks, and the rest is up to your skills online

Btw: alot of fun sugestions though

Awsome idea, nice way to let demo players step into S2, and a team.

A place to get tips on driving/setups, friendship, and a nice place to begin regarding leagues.

Not all teams can do S2 voucher sponsoring in reward for good driving, nice idea

Sorry for the huge bump, but is there any way of adding a volume controll on the lfs-wmp?

It is way to loud for my liking, but other than that I love it

Quote from Dazmyster :I think they should make an option also for removing the 'real' mirror alltogether.

I use custom view which is in the middle of the car inside and the 'real' mirror is in the way of the windscreen.

You can move it down to left but its still covering part of the screen and very anoying.

I use virtual mirror so maybe just make a remove that real mirror and im sure a few others will like this please!

Would be much appreciated, thanks daz

Sure, we all hate realism xD

Not to be rude, but I accualy like realistic views, and hate "roof drivers" who aim for realistic simulation in lfs

Quote from Gimpster :

As far as wheel diameter, I can't see how you would gain a performance improvement as larger wheels are heavier and thus add weight and rotating mass.

Is aluminium/composite materials realy heavier than rubber?

Diferent diameter would make sence for the "stock" cars(street racers), used in both drag, cruise, drift, and rally.
Diferent amount of rubber stretch(lower diameter, higher profile, higher diameter, lower profile) would give +/- usefull in diferent use of the car(my opinion anyway :P )

Same with the rear view mirror, kinda weird you don't see wing aso. when you do it when looking back :P

Hopefully 3x monitors + adjustment of pedal placement will help my sitting position

Time will tell :P
=Wolf=[NO]

Quote from morpha :Your seating position is completely wrong, that seat would offer decent lumbar support and you don't use it at all. Imagine a 4 or 6 point harness, you'd be bolted to that seat like you should be. What's more you're restricting your own movement by sitting too close to the wheel, but that would probably be sorted just by sitting in the seat and not just on it like you do in the video.

When shifting, grab the knob, don't throw the stick vaguely into the right direction. The G25 shifter may be delicate, but it can take proper shifting just fine. You're not doing yourself a favor handling it differently than a real car just because it's so light and a short throw.

As for the drifting; Considering the steering lock mod was used, it was rather poor. The angles you pulled can be achieved with 36° just as well.

It's nice allowing people to see your actual driving, but when you prefix it with "How Live for Speed should be played", you better make it a bloody awesome performance. This didn't qualify in my opinion.
I'm not trying to provoke an argument, I'm just voicing my honest opinion

You realy think I should strap my self in a harness?

Main reason I lean forward, is to accualy see where I'm going(crap monitor)

Reason I'm close to wheel, is placement of pedals(ned to figure something out)

My shifting: find me a thread for modding it, so it is more like irl, and I will modify it.
The way I shift is just a bad habit I guess. resistance will prevent it.

My drifting:
I know those angles is doable in 36 degree lock, but I drive for fun, and I never said I was that good either...

How lfs should be played:
It accualy states "SIDEWAYS" in big letters, not "INSANE AWSOME DRIFT PERFECTION", so I accualy am bold enough to say it accualy was sideways :P

Why does ppl think there will be a argument from stating a opinion?

Thank you for your input

Quote from e2mustang :wow lot of G force on you there. you should wear seatbelts

If you refer to my "leaning", I guess it's a weird habit, buy me a "force dynamics 301" rig, and I will buckle up

Made it to show wheelwork while drifting

It also open up for skinners to take designs to a higher(or lower :P ) level

Hostname URL encoding
If you want to use this feature for a host with weird characters in its name, you must "urlencode" the hostname, which means you must convert these weird characters into a format acceptable for use inside an URL. If you're having problems getting this feature to work because it keeps saying the host is offline, you may want to give the following a try.
To make it easy for you I've created a simple page where you can convert any text into urlencoded text : http://www.lfsworld.net/urlencode.html

I might be dumb(rather noob on this), but I am not able to decode "™DB Private" for some reason, the "™" won't "code"....

And another thing, is the colours(used on server name), critical to make it work?

In the current state, King Kong can use the RB4 as toiletpaper, but it is still fully drivable

But a impact in the rear of car, don't damage radiator though, but might loose your muffler :P
